Solar eclipse stuns world-
Stabbing at Shopping centre in Sydney- A man fatally stabbed 6 people in a shopping centre in Bondi, Sydney. The 40 year old was known by the police due to his struggle with mental health problems. Courageous members of the public tried to fight back to protect others before a first responder who was called a 'hero' shot the man dead, saving many lives in the process. The family of the attacker have apologised. Bystanders have described the scene as 'insanity'.
Sydney in both shock and mourning after the deadly attack leaving 6 dead and several others injured.

Seven World Central Kitchen (WCK) aid workers killed in Gaza- Seven aid workers were killed in an Israeli air strike. This included three British Victims named as John Chapman,57, James Henderson,33,and James Kirby,47, who had been volunteering in order to try and help people in desperate need. Rishi Sunak said he told Netanyahu that he was "appalled". Israel said the strike was "unintended and tragic". Since then,the IDF sacked two senior military officials over the mistake. The deaths have contributed to the growing international anger at how Israel is conducting the war which begun on October 7th, when Hamas terrorists attacked Israel killing over 1,200 people and taking 253 hostages of which 133 Remain.
John Chapman, James Henderson and James Kirby were among the 7 aid workers killed in an Israeli air strike which Netanyahu called a "grave mistake".
Taiwan devastated by worst earthquake in 25 years- Taiwan was hit by a earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 which hit the eastern part of the country, killing 9 people and injuring over 1,000. Thankfully, the human toll was limited by the fact the Taiwanese population are well trained as school and workplace drills were mandated after a horrific quake in 1999 which killed almost 2,500 people.
Taiwanese emergency responders continue to search for unaccounted people who may be caught under the rubble.

Baltimore Bridge collapse- On the morning of the 26th march a major bridge in the US city of Baltimore collapsed into the Patapsco River after a container ship crashed into it. The bridge fell into the water at 01:30 ET (05:30 GMT) on Tuesday. Shockwaves were sent across the US and around the Globe. In the aftermath Vigils were held across America and Joe Biden ensured his government would cover the entire cost of the bridge. After 18 hours of searching the Coastguard announced the search would be called off for the 6 missing construction workers.
Horrific bus Crash in South Africa- 45 people die and only one eight year old girl survive after a bus veered off a bridge and crashed onto a bed of rocks some 50 metres below. A statement from the ministry of transport suggests that the driver lost control while going round a bend. The bus caught fire after the crash in the northeast province of Limpopo. The lone survivor is being treated in hospital.
4 Moscow Terror suspects appear in court- On the 25th march four men were dragged into a Russian court where they were to be charged with Act Of Terrorism. The men are suspected to have attacked the concert hall 3 days earlier which killed at least 137 people. It appeared that all four men had been beaten and one of the defendants was wheeled into court. Putin made claims that although he knew "the crime was committed by the hands of radical islamists" he also thought the attackers were linked to the Ukrainian government. Kyiv responded suggesting that this was "absurd". The court said that the 4 men would be held in pre-trial detention until the 22nd
